Meet Matt
Managing Director & Builder
Matt’s journey with NDH began more than 15 years ago as a contracted Head Carpenter, before stepping into a Supervisor role and ultimately taking the lead of the business. This hands-on background gives Matt a deep, practical understanding of every stage of the building process.
Known for his genuine passion for bringing clients’ visions to life, Matt thrives on projects that challenge the norm — whether that’s complex sites, unique designs, or highly customised homes. He is committed to providing a personalised building experience, working closely with each client to ensure their dream home becomes a reality.
Having lived on the Sunshine Coast for over 34 years, Matt has a strong connection to the local community and a deep understanding of the region’s building landscape.
Building is truly a family affair, with two of Matt’s four sons now part of the NDH team — one in his final year of a carpentry apprenticeship, and the other just beginning his first year.
Meet Marcia
Office Manager
Marcia began her career in the building industry in 1983 after returning from six months living in Houston.
She started as a secretary to the Finance Manager at a large Australian building company, AVJennings, where she was involved in preparing building contracts and lodging plans with council. Marcia then progressed into a Building Administrator role, becoming the key point of contact for clients from deposit through to handover.
In this role, she managed client communication, resolved enquiries, and acted as the vital link between supervisors, area managers, and clients — ensuring a smooth and supported building journey.
Marcia joined New Designer Homes in January 2016 and continues to bring her extensive industry knowledge and client-focused approach to the team.
Meet Peter
Estimator
Peter began his carpentry and building apprenticeship over 45 years ago in Wagga Wagga, NSW. While working, he furthered his qualifications by studying part-time to achieve his Building Foreman Clerk of Works certificate.
With extensive experience in both renovations and new home construction, Pete brings a well-rounded skill set to every project. After moving to the Sunshine Coast in 1990, he expanded his expertise into shop fitting before joining New Designer Homes in 2015 as a carpenter.
In 2022, Peter transitioned into the office as the company’s Estimator, where his hands-on knowledge and decades of experience continue to play a vital role in delivering accurate and thoughtful project planning.
Meet Katie
Marketing Coordinator
Katie brings a diverse and people-focused background to the team. With 19 years of experience as a Beauty Therapist — including 13 years running her own successful business — Katie has a strong foundation in client care, communication, and attention to detail.
She also spent 7 years working in aged care, further strengthening her compassionate and service-driven approach.
Recently joining New Designer Homes, Katie now channels her creativity and people skills into showcasing the brand and connecting with clients.
