We were referred to Graham via our Plumber and Electrician and I would have to say from our first meeting with both Graham and Phil, we felt comfortable.
We had a knock down rebuild and we had a vision in mind. After months of drawings and ideas through Covid we went to Graham with these ideas, they were able to bring those ideas to life and build our beach home that we love.
As we progressed with the build, the current climate in the building industry was intensifying and some of our time frames were pushed out, but all the way through Graham and Matt kept us abreast of the progress and made us feel confident in the builder we had picked!
All communication with Graham was answered promptly and any issues that popped up were dealt with no fuss and we could discuss any problems, solve them and came out happy!
After renovating a couple of houses prior to building our standard of finish was high, and we soon realised so is Graham’s. The attention to detail and finish on everything was high quality and we can not complain about anything!
We thank New Designer Homes for the building experience we had and the home that we love, knowing that not all builders are the same and we know if we were to build again, we would not use any other builder.

Hi Graham,
We have just accepted an offer on our house in Palmwoods, so after 7 great years here we will be moving on come end October. Time has flown since you handed us the keys to our beautiful home but with the kids now gone it is time for the next stage of our lives.
We thought you would be pleased to know that the building inspector engaged by the purchaser to check over the house made special note to relate to us personally what an exceptionally well finished and constructed home we had and was obviously built by a very good builder! We were obviously pleased to hear this from an independent observer as no doubt you are along with the new owners.

As we approach the second anniversary of our new home, we just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how comfortable we are in a finished home! We had spent years renovating older homes and every weekend was spent chipping away at a never ending list of jobs. After finally having enough of the endless maintenance, we sought out someone to build us a home that would allow us to spend more time enjoying our young family and you all delivered!
Having never built before, we had no idea what to expect or what needed to be done at what time. Graham got the ball rolling, took us through every detail of the build and was there at the end of every phone call, email and meeting to go through anything that we didn’t understand. He walked us through our plans and made sure everything we needed was accommodated for. We own a very sentimental piece of furniture and it needed pride of place in our new home. Graham took the time to adjust three separate rooms to make sure it found it’s home and I’m reminded of that effort every time I walk past it.
The New Designer team were fantastic about maximising every part of our build budget. We had a minor contingency and they managed to fit everything we wanted within the budget, it was only our indulgences that dipped slightly into it!
Through all our variances, Jodie was always patient and supportive. As the main point of contact for the bulk part of the build, she was so helpful and a wealth of knowledge (especially when we decided to move walls that altered the entire centre of the house!) Jodie always had a positive attitude, even if we wanted to change things after they were started, Jodie wouldn’t rest until she found the perfect solution and made sure we were 110% happy to go ahead.
We have moments where we walk around the house and feel complete relaxation. We love how every part of our new home is the complete opposite to all our previous half finished houses. We love hearing friends and family complement us on our amazing timer floors while others comment on the quality of the paint finish compared with their new homes through other builders. What we’re trying to say through all this is thank you! Thank you for making a stressful time just that little bit easier. Thank you for being a helpful, friendly and humble company to deal with and most of all, thank you for building our home and giving us our weekends back!

May your building be complicated or relatively simple Graham and his tight-knit team will do their best to make your dreams come true. Our dream was to build a property that could give my wife and I our own space for our retirement and also form a starter home for our youngest son and his partner, all within our limited budget.
To achieve this our architect David, a long-time friend of Graham’s, designed us a dual living home with sufficient separation and privacy, with Tardis like internal proportions from what we thought was an average footprint.
The initial consultation phase was used to discuss and iron out all our wants and needs of not just the house, but importantly how the finished building would sit in the environment along with its shed, driveway and landscape. Both Graham and David spent time with us to discuss and go through different layout iterations backing up their proposals with typical examples of their other projects displaying similar features.
The dream continued into the build phase which friends had warned us would be stressful but from the day the construction started to the day it was finished ‘bang on time’ it was nothing of the sort. Throughout the process, Graham and his team made us feel that our build was both special and important and we don’t think we have ever seen such a tidy and well managed construction site before.
Every question we had along the way was answered quickly and precisely. Any changes or alterations proposed were discussed with the team who gave us the benefit of their experience regarding possible cost and time implications and the effects these changes or mods would have on the aesthetics of the finished product.
We only had limited funds for this project but the designs, layout and features that we wanted were all accommodated within our budget. Thanks to both the quality of the build and the interior and exterior fittings, the finished house looks impressive, is very functional and easy to maintain and run.
The end result is a property that is in harmony with the environment and sits well in its landscape which is a credit to New Designer Homes, the ‘Dream builder’ in so many ways.

We would like to thank Graham and his team for our wonderful new home. We are more than delighted and even now, 12 months later, we still walk in the front door and say "wow", how lucky are we to be here in our New Designer dream home. Working with Graham and his team has been a painless and seamless experience and we would not hesitate to recommend New Designer Homes (NDH) to any prospective client.
Our story started months before we met Graham New at NDH. We started visiting home display centres. At times this was bewildering with so many options and variations to consider and having to wade past sales consultants (some very persistent). After months of weekend inspections we settled on a builder and started the process, with a sales consultant, to prepare a concept, a plan and obtain a quotation. However it soon became apparent that our expectations were not being met as we had to contend with a constant list of variations and amendments. We reached a point where we said enough was enough and walked away.
We than remembered being informed by the land sales consultant that Graham New from New Designer Homes had built numerous houses in our estate. So we arranged an appointment and met Graham and Jodie at the Warana office. Well what a breath of fresh air....
We quickly gained confidence with Graham who took us through all the aspects of building our house. Speaking with the builder was a new experience for us and we worked together to finalise the concept, house plans and agree on inclusions. Graham provided numerous design suggestions through out the concept and design stage which we considered without pressure. We adopted many suggestions and we are grateful for his contribution (knowledge, experience and attention to detail) as the end result, our home, is far better for it. The standard inclusions such as tapware, porcelain toilets, door furniture, windows and doors etc. were all of a high quality and minimal changes were required. It was a great feeling to know exactly where we were heading with our house (specifications) and the final cost before we started.
Construction started soon afterwards and we had the opportunity to visit the site and meet numerous trades people throughout the building process. All the trades people were very professional and courteous reassuring us that we were dealing with a professional builder and a well managed project site.
Graham and Jodie provided constant feedback on progress, with photos, and were always available to answer any questions we had. Of course we did decide on some last minutes changes and we had no problems negotiating these and minor additions.
The only delay we experienced was of course the wet season and Christmas holidays. We had hoped for an earlier completion so we could be in the home at Christmas but no matter as it all worked out fine and the house was still completed to schedule.
The handover took place after Christmas holidays at which Graham presented us with the keys, appliance warranty + maintenance documents and a walk through inspection to ensure we were 100% satisfied. Graham then presented us with a wonderful basket of assorted condiments and wines as a house warming gift. A very nice touch indeed.
Our interaction with New Designer Homes did not end there as we had follow up telephone calls from Graham and Jodie to ensure all was well and to review the 6 monthly Maintenance Record. The few minor items we identified were resolved without any problems.
So thank you Graham, Jodie and the team at New Designer Homes for our beautiful home which we are certain to enjoy for decades.

We have been in our house now for just over 12 months and felt it time to let you know how we feel about building with New Designer Homes (NDH).
As you know we had an old house on our site which we used as a holiday rental for many years, the maintenance on that building was ever-increasing so we decided to demolish it and rebuild, again with a holiday rental scenario in mind, however we then decided in retirement that the Sunshine Coast would be an ideal lifestyle for us so our plans for the rebuild changed somewhat to more personal requirements.
We received personal referrals to three coast builders including yourself , we interviewed all and based on plans we had drawn up we asked for quotations which we duly received , one verbal , one hand written on the back of an envelope and your detailed schedule.
Based on the detailed information provided by you we made the decision to accept your offer and after finalising all details we happily signed a contract.
This was clearly the best thing we did with this project as our ongoing experience with you and your organisation just made the whole exercise really simple and hassle-free.
From day one we knew exactly where we stood in relation to progress and variations and this was very much due to the attention of Jodie, Chris, Adrian ( then John) and yourself, and we must say it was gratifying that we could talk to the boss at any time without being fobbed off.
We also found that the tradesmen you employed were very agreeable and cooperative when we visited the site, something we didn't do very often as we were confident that all work was of a good quality and didn't need our constant checking.
As our 6 month warranty time was approaching we tried very hard to find faults in the house, we couldn't find anything major and the minor items were repaired or corrected in quick time, even later a couple of items were noted but your people arranged correction without any argument.
Prior to starting this project many friends and acquaintances mentioned drama's they had either encountered or had heard of in relation to building a new house, we didn't encounter any of these issues and our experience was nothing short of wonderful, in fact, we'd build again if the situation arose and you would be the first and probably the only builder we would seek out.
We thank you for providing us with a home we are both comfortable in and proud of.
Should any of your prospective clients want to see the quality of your building first hand, we would be more than pleased to show them through our home.

Being a ‘built to boundary’ house on a relatively small parcel of land presented a few challenges that seemed to be handled effortlessly. You and the team proved to be very flexible - and patient - in addressing changes and we were kept fully informed of progress during the entire build period. Roger and I moved into our beautiful new home in September, and since then have been “living the dream”. To say we are thrilled would be an understatement. We felt so confident and comfortable from our first meeting that we knew we had found our builder – we still wonder how we got so lucky. We had a budget we wanted to stay within and we thought that having a long narrow block would pose a problem, but nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Even though some of our requests were unusual, they were discussed, improved on and implemented. Our home is everything we hoped it would be and more. Nothing in the house is cheap, everything is quality from the sink to the taps, porcelain toilets, door handles etc. A quality home in which we can now live in our retirement in ease and comfort.
Graham, you understood our rough plans, explained everything so there was no misunderstanding, and then passed them on to be translated into working drawings by architect Robin Bristow. All our requests were met without drama.
Jodie is a treasure and kept us informed almost on a daily basis. Adrian, your building supervisor, was incredibly patient and very professional. He was always ready to discuss and explain any of our many queries. Carpenters, Matt and Cory, are such an asset to your organisation and once again, nothing was too much trouble. (What a shame they are NSW supporters!!) Don the plumber, the electricians, the brickies, the boys who laid the driveway and paths did it all without drama, on time and perfectly. Brian, your tiler, is a magician – wow what a job he did. The cabinet maker who outfitted our walk in robes and store cupboards would have to be the best in the trade.
Amber tiles were a great help to us in choosing our tiles, colours, bench tops etc. Their range is enormous and with their help we think we managed to create a home that hopefully will not date. Zente kitchens too did a beautiful job – our butler’s pantry is a joy – my dream come true. We even managed to get a beautiful 100% pure wool Berber carpet within budget.
Sadly the only thing you could not control was the weather but it was fascinating to watch it all coming together. How those boys did what they did while working in the teeming rain and walking through heavy clay is quite beyond me. In the long run though, it didn’t seem to matter, our home was completed on time, on budget and for us perfect in every way.
Comments from family and friends have been overwhelmingly positive. Christmas was wonderful and even with so many family here, never seemed crowded or untidy. We do a lot of entertaining on our front deck and it has surpassed our expectations. We enjoy the views and having kangaroos eating in our front garden certainly adds interest as well.
The sloping block created an opportunity for a crawl space, which is now becoming an enormous “man cave”. It has become Roger’s “secret men’s business” den into which I am not allowed to venture. What a great storage space it has turned out to be. Being a handy man, now he has loads of space in which to store and create. What every man in retirement needs.
We know how fussy you are Graham, but it is hard to find anything major to write up in our “maintenance record” – although I know you will find something. We cannot recommend you and your team too highly. We would be very proud and gladly show any prospective clients through our beautiful home. If you or any of your boys are in the area, please drop in for a cuppa, you might even score some scones !!

This was the third home that we have built, and it was by far the best building experience we have had. We did the usual round of project builders at display sites, but from our first meeting with Graham we came away confident that New Designer Homes was going to deliver what we wanted.
And they did.
We only had a general idea that we wanted a beach house, and how much we wanted to spend. With the help of the NDH team this was turned into a detailed plan that included all the features we wanted and some other innovations we had not considered. When my wife Lynne and I emerged from our first meeting with Graham, we knew that New Designer Homes would build our house. Graham’s professionalism, attention to detail, experience, and flexibility were what we desired.
Construction of our house started on-time and all projected milestones throughout the construction phase were easily achieved. We moved into our house one month earlier than we had anticipated. Our contract was very easy to understand. Allowances were made for only a few options which meant we knew the final cost of the house before we started. We still had the flexibility of changing certain features of the house during the building process.
We had the opportunity to meet all the trades-people at our house to discuss issues we had, and any variations we required. We were able to negotiate additional items and subtle changes with each trades-person which gave us a sense of satisfaction that we were getting exactly what we wanted.
Whenever we contacted or dropped in to the NDH office, the staff always had time to answer our questions.
